Jamie Kalisz - Trainer

Jamie is a Berkshire County native who has been riding since her early childhood.  She rode competitively through high school and college and continues to ride for pleasure.  Jamie holds a B.S. in Psychology from Springfield College and a Masters in Education from the University of Massachusetts.  After working for several years in her field of study, she decided to focus on riding as a full-time career.  In the past 10 years, Jamie has managed a riding stable, trained horses and has been teaching for the past 5 years.  She is focused on the rider-horse relationship and believes in building a solid foundation of fundamentals for her students.  She strives to blend many different training styles into her teaching in an effort to make her students' experience comfortable, educational and safe.

Deb Sullivan - Trainer

Deb's riding career began at Shallowbrook Equestrian Center in Somers, CT.  After riding for several years, Deb purchased her first horse, Princess.  Shortly after that she was invited to teach at Shallowbrook.  Deb was trained to teach by Mr. and Mrs. Hal Vita, Jr.  She started by teaching preschoolers and beginners and eventually went on to train Shallowbrook's show teams.  Two years ago, the Sullivan family moved to the Berkshires where Deb became a Licensed Massachusetts riding instructor and furthered her teaching experience at area stables.  Deb recently made a move to Berkshire Equestrian Center and is delighted to be working with the BEC team.  Deb teaches riders age 3 to adult.  Her lessons focus on building a sound riding foundation in a safe and fun environment.  She specializes in inspiring confidence in new and young riders.
